Jon Grey to Race at USATF Club Cross Championships Dec. 13; Emily Gordon Will Run Santa to the Sea Half Marathon Dec. 14

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Dec. 9, 2014 - Team USA Minnesota's Jon Grey will be among the competitors at the USATF National Club Cross Country Championships in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Dec. 13, while Emily Gordon will run in the Santa to the Sea Half Marathon in Oxnard, California, on Dec. 14.


The last time Grey competed at the USATF National Club Cross Country Championships was 2011 when it was held in Seattle.  Grey won the men's open 10k race that year and went on to run in the 2012 Bupa Great Edinburgh Cross Country Challenge in January 2012 and placed fourth.

The 2014 Club Cross Country Championships will be held at Lehigh University.  Over 1,800 entrants - a record - are expected to participate in four competitions including a women's open 6k, women's masters 6k, men's open 10k, and men's masters 10k.  The men's open 10k will be the last event of the day and is set for 1:30 p.m. (Eastern).

On the West Coast, Gordon will run in the seventh annual Santa to the Sea Half Marathon.  She has a best in the distance of 1:14:13.  The race will be held in Oxnard, located 40 minutes north of Los Angeles, and starts at 8 a.m. (Pacific).
