Heather Kampf Wins Mile, 10k and Half Marathon at Bermuda Int'l Race Weekend, Will Compete at Camel City Mile Indoor Meet on Jan. 31; Results from USA Half Marathon Championships

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Jan. 20, 2015 - Team USA Minnesota's Heather Kampf returned to Bermuda this past weekend to defend her two-year title at the Front Street Mile.  Once again, Kampf won the invitational women's mile for a three peat on Friday evening, Jan. 16.  Her time was 4:53.32.  She then ran in two other events - as part of her training - during Bermuda International Race Weekend and won the 10k in 35:10 on Jan. 17 and then the half marathon in 1:18:05 on Jan. 18.


Next up for Kampf will be the Camel City Mile in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Jan. 31.  She will be part of the elite field at the indoor meet on the JDL Fast Track.  Kampf won the 800 meter race at this event last year.

In Houston at the USA Half Marathon Championships on Jan. 18, Eric Finan posted a personal best in the distance of 1:03:29 (previous was 1:04:42), Jon Peterson debuted in the half marathon with a time of 1:04:26, and Meghan Peyton crossed the finish line in the women's field in 1:14:28.  All three runners are now preparing for the USA Cross Country Championships which will be held in Boulder, Colorado, on Feb. 7.

The championships were held in conjunction with the Aramco Half Marathon.
