Biya Simbassa, Josh Dedering, Emily Gordon to Run Pittsburgh 10 Miler on Oct. 25; Parker Stinson to Compete at Philadelphia Half Marathon Oct. 31

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Oct. 15, 2015 - Three Team USA Minnesota distance runners - Biya Simbassa, Josh Dedering and Emily Gordon - will be among the competitors at the third edition of the EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler on Oct. 25.  The race, which starts at 8:00 a.m., features a scenic course through the Steel City.


Dedering and Gordon are no strangers to the streets of Pittsburgh, having run the half marathon and marathon respectively in the city last May.  Dedering has a best in the 10 mile of 49:40 and Gordon has run 59:04 in the distance.

Simbassa will be running his first 10 mile race and comes to the line with a best of 28:42 in the 10,000 meters.  He joined Team USA Minnesota in August after graduating from the University of Oklahoma and will be making his debut as a professional runner at the Pittsburgh race.

Philadelphia Half Marathon - Oct. 31

Parker Stinson will also travel east at the end of October to race in the Rock 'n' Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon on Oct. 31.  The race starts at 7:30 a.m. and takes participants over a flat and fast course.

This will be Stinson's longest race since he started his professional running career early this year after graduating from the University of Oregon.  He recently posted 47:52 at the USA 10 Mile Championships in the Twin Cities on Oct. 4 and will run his first half marathon at Philly.
