Heather Kampf Is 3rd at Drake Relays 1500m; Rob Molke Is 6th at Pittsburgh Half Marathon; Results from Payton Jordan Invitational

Minneapolis/St. Paul - May 3, 2016 - Team USA Minnesota's Heather Kampf was third in the 1500 meters at the Hy-Vee Night at Drake Relays on April 29.  The race was part of the Rio Olympic Games Preview at Drake and featured a top field of competitors.  Kampf's time in her outdoor track season opener was 4:07.26.

 

In Pittsburgh, Rob Molke finished sixth and first American in the UPMC Health Plan Half Marathon on May 1.  His time was 1:07:05.

At the Payton Jordan Invitational held at Stanford University on May 1, Biya Simbassa was sixth in the second heat of the men's 5000 meters with a time of 13:38.86, and Jon Peterson placed 16th in the same heat in 13:56.37.

In the second heat of the women's 10,000 meters, Katy Moen was ninth in a personal best time of 33:05.31 (previous was 33:09) and Meghan Peyton was 10th in 33:05.33.

Next up for a number of Team USA Minnesota runners will be the USA 1 Mile Road Championships hosted by the Medtronic TC 1 Mile in Minneapolis on May 12.
