Heather Kampf to Run in 5th Avenue Mile Sept. 3; Meghan Peyton, Rob Molke, Jon Peterson to Compete at USATF 20k Championships Sept. 5

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Aug. 30, 2016 - Team USA Minnesota's Heather Kampf will run in the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile in New York City on Sept. 3, while Meghan Peyton, Rob Molke and Jon Peterson will be among the competitors at the USATF 20k Championships in New Haven on Sept. 5.

 

This will be Kampf's seventh appearance at the 5th Avenue Mile where she has finished fourth in both 2014 and 2015 and run as fast as 4:21.4 down the streets of Manhattan.  The women's professional mile race will start at 1:15 p.m. (Eastern) and be streamed live on USATF.tv.

Kampf is a four-time USATF Road Mile Champion and most recently placed third at the Falmouth Mile on Aug. 20.

On Labor Day in New Haven, Peyton, Molke and Peterson will compete in the 20k Championships which is being held for the 25th consecutive year in conjunction with the Faxon Law New Haven Road Race.  The 20k begins at 8:40 a.m. (Eastern).

Peyton is the 2013 USA 20k Champion and has a best in the distance of 1:09:57.  Molke has run 1:03:27 in the half marathon and Peterson has posted 48:06 in the 10 mile.
