Minneapolis/St. Paul - July 18, 2017 - Six Team USA Minnesota runners - Katy Moen, Kevin Lewis, Ryan Rutherford, Rob Molke, Jon Peterson and Danny Docherty - will participate in the Twin Cities Orthopedics Torchlight 5k presented by NOOMA that will be held in Minneapolis on July 19.

The annual Torchlight 5k, which is also sponsored by Life Time Run, precedes the city's Aquatennial Parade and follows the same route.  The 5k, which attracts thousands of runners, starts at 7:30 p.m. near Loring Park, winds through the streets of downtown Minneapolis, goes over the Stone Arch Bridge at the Mississippi River, and finishes in the St. Anthony Main Park.

All six distance runners plan to use the mid-summer Torchlight 5k as a tempo or easy run at this point in their training for fall races.

Ryan Shay Mile - July 22

Heather Kampf will compete in the ninth annual Ryan Shay Mile in Charlevoix, Michigan, on July 22.  The race starts at 10:30 a.m. (Eastern time).

Kampf, who continues her return from a spring injury, is a four-time champion of the Ryan Shay Mile and is the women's course record holder.
