Meghan Peyton to Compete at USA 5k Championships Nov. 4; Tyler Jermann, Danny Docherty to Run Pittsburgh 10 Miler Nov. 5

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Oct. 31, 2017 - Three Team USA Minnesota distance runners will head East this weekend for competitions, including the USATF 5k Championships in New York City on Nov. 4, and the EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler on Nov. 5.


Meghan Peyton will be among the competitors at the 5k Championships, which will take place in conjunction with the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5k.  The race, organized by the New York Road Runners, starts at 8:30 a.m. on the streets of Manhattan and finishes in Central Park.  Peyton has a best of 15:41 in the distance.

In Pittsburgh, Tyler Jermann and Danny Docherty will line up with a field of top American and international runners for the fifth edition of the Pittsburgh 10 Miler.  This will be the first appearance at the 10 Miler for both, although Jermann is no stranger to Pittsburgh having placed third and then fourth at the 2016 and 2017 Pittsburgh Marathons respectively.

Jermann has run 49:42 in the 10 mile distance, while Docherty has posted 49:54.
