Kevin Lewis, Breanna Sieracki to Run in Medtronic TC 1 Mile May 10; Tyler Jermann, Katy Moen at USA 25k Championships May 12

Minneapolis/St. Paul - May 8, 2018 - Team USA Minnesota's Kevin Lewis and Breanna Sieracki will compete in the elite field at the Medtronic TC 1 Mile in Minneapolis on May 10, while Tyler Jermann and Katy Moen will travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to run in the USATF 25k Championships on May 12.

 

The TC 1 Mile will be held in downtown Minneapolis, starting near the Mill City Museum and finishing along the Mississippi Riverfront near the Guthrie Theater.  Seven waves of mile races - attracting some 2,500 runners - start at 6:30 p.m. and will conclude with the professional women's race at 7:52 p.m. followed by the professional men's race at 8:01 p.m.

Lewis has a best of 4:07 in the mile and finished ninth at the TC 1 Mile in 2017.  Sieracki, who joined Team USA Minnesota last fall, will be racing in her first road mile.  The steeplechase specialist has posted 4:52 in the mile on the track.

The Medtronic TC 1 Mile is organized by Twin Cities In Motion and is a stop on the Bring Back the Mile Grand Prix Tour.

USATF 25k Championships

The USATF 25k Championships will be held in conjunction with the Fifth Third River Bank Run in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on May 12.  The race, which starts at 8:30 a.m. (Eastern), has hosted the 25k Championships continually since 1995.

Jermann has a best of 1:05 in the half marathon and has run 2:16 in the marathon.  Moen has run 1:14 in the half marathon. Both will be competing at the 25k distance for the first time.
