Jermann was 12th overall in the men's field at Grandma's Marathon with a time of 2:18:59 which is the second time he has qualified this year for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.  He set a best of 2:16:39 in the distance in January at the Houston Marathon.

Goodwin received the Ron Daws Ambassador Award at the afternoon awards ceremony. "This award is presented each year to an individual who has been a leader in the development and growth of long distance running and who has shared a commitment to be an ambassador of Grandma's Marathon and the City of Duluth," said Shane Bauer, executive director of Grandma's Marathon.  "She is the founder and president of Team USA Minnesota, a nonprofit organization created in 2001 to train and develop distance runners for national and international competition.

"Pat first got involved with Grandma's Marathon when she ran the marathon in 1983 and runs either the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon or Grandma's Marathon almost every year.  Along with her own running, she encourages the Team USA Minnesota elite distance runners to compete at Grandma's Marathon events.  She is a great advocate of our organization and is extremely deserving of this award."
