Megan Hogan, Pat Goodwin to Present Clinic at Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Health & Fitness Expo April 2; Four Athletes to Run at Hamline Invitational April 2

Minneapolis/St. Paul - March 29, 2011 - Team USA Minnesota's Megan Hogan, along with founder and president Pat Goodwin, will present one of the clinics scheduled at the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Health and Fitness Expo on April 2.  The topic for the hour long clinic, which starts at noon, is "Elite American Road Racing in the 21st Century."  The annual Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run will be held on April 3 in Washington, D.C.

Katie McGregor Is Featured Speaker at Gearing Up for Grandma's Seminar March 26; Results from NYC Half Marathon and World Cross Country

Minneapolis/St. Paul - March 22, 2011 - Team USA Minnesota's Katie McGregor will be the featured speaker at the "Gearing Up for Grandma's" training seminar on March 26.  The free pre-race seminar will be held from 9-11 a.m. at Essentia Health's First Street Building in downtown Duluth.  The 35th annual Grandma's Marathon will be held on June 18.

Jason Lehmkuhle to Run NYC Half Marathon March 20; Andrew Carlson on World Cross Country Team in Spain

Minneapolis/St. Paul - March 16, 2011 - Team USA Minnesota's Jason Lehmkuhle will be among the competitors at the NYC Half Marathon in New York City, and Andrew Carlson has been named to the U.S. team for the IAAF World Cross Country Championships.  Both events will be held on March 20.

Team USA Minnesota Women Finish 3rd, 5th and 6th at USA 15k Championships in Jacksonville March 12

Minneapolis/St. Paul - March 13, 2011 - All three Team USA Minnesota women competing at the USA 15k Championships on March 12 finished in the top six, with Megan Hogan crossing the line in third place with a time of 49:57, Meghan Armstrong finishing fifth in 51:18, and Katie McGregor placing sixth in 51:21.  Thanks to their strong finish, they also won the women's team competition known as the TenBroeck Team Cup.

Six Team USA Minnesota Runners to Compete at USA 15k Championships in Jacksonville March 12

Minneapolis/St. Paul - March 9, 2011 - Six Team USA Minnesota distance runners - three women and three men - will be among the competitors at the 2011 USA 15k Championships, which are being held in conjunction with the 34th annual Gate River Run in Jacksonville, Fla.  The team's runners include 2010 15k champion Katie McGregor and 2008 15k champion Andrew Carlson.

George Washington University Standout Megan Hogan Joins Team USA Minnesota

Minneapolis/St. Paul - March 7, 2011 - Two-time All American Megan Hogan, a collegiate standout at George Washington University who finished eighth at the 2010 NCAA Cross Country Championships, has joined Team USA Minnesota.  Hogan's credentials also include a best of 32:34.95 in the 10,000 meters and a sixth place finish in the event at the 2010 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Matt Gabrielson to Compete at Reedy River Run 10k March 5; Heather Kampf, Gabriele Anderson Both Win Bronze at USA Indoor Championships

Minneapolis/St. Paul - March 1, 2011 - Team USA Minnesota's Matt Gabrielson will be among the competitors at the 34th annual Reedy River Run 10k in Greenville, South Carolina, on March 5.  The race starts at 8:30 a.m. (Eastern time).

Heather Kampf, Gabriele Anderson to Compete at USA Indoor Championships Feb. 26-27; Jason Lehmkuhle Wins Ohme 30 km in Japan; Andrew Carlson Wins Snowshoe Open 3000m

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Feb. 21, 2011 - Team USA Minnesota's Heather Kampf and Gabriele Anderson have qualified to compete at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships that will be held in Albuquerque on Feb. 26-27.  Kampf is qualified in both the 800 meters and the mile and Anderson will run in the mile.

RunPro.com Web Site for Distance Runners Launched by Team USA Minnesota and USATF

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Feb. 16, 2011 - A new web site at www.RunPro.com has been launched to assist promising distance runners make the transition from collegiate to professional athletes.  The site was created and developed by Team USA Minnesota with the support of a 2010 Excellence Challenge Grant from USA Track & Field.

Jason Lehmkuhle to Run Ohme 30 km Feb. 20; Results from Iowa State Classic

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Feb. 14, 2011 - Team USA Minnesota's Jason Lehmkuhle will run in the Ohme 30 km Road Race in Tokyo, Japan, on Feb. 20.  Lehmkuhle was invited to participate in the international race based on his ninth place finish at the 2010 Boston Marathon.

Heather Kampf, Gabriele Anderson to Run Mile at Iowa State Classic Feb. 12; Results from USA Cross Country Championships

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Feb. 8, 2011 - Team USA Minnesota's Heather Kampf and Gabriele Anderson will both compete in the mile at the Iowa State Classic track meet in Ames on Feb. 12.  The event will be held on the Iowa State University campus in the Lied Recreational Center, which has a 300-meter track.

Five Team USA Minnesota Runners to Compete at USA Cross Country Championships Feb. 5; Four Athletes to Assist at TC Kids Indoor Fun Run Feb. 5

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Feb. 2, 2011 - Five Team USA Minnesota runners - Matt Gabrielson, Andrew Carlson, Emily Brown, Meghan Armstrong and Jamie Cheever - will be among the competitors at the 2011 USA Cross Country Championships in San Diego on Feb. 5.  The event is also the World Cross Country Team Trials to select six men and six women to compete at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships that will be held in Punta Umbria, Spain, on March 20.
